Evidently Microsoftâs pledge to re-comply with the 2009 European Union antitrust sanctions wasnât enough to get it out of hot water with EU regulators. Bloomberg reports that the European Commission is preparing a formal complaint alleging Microsoft violated an agreement requiring it to present Windows users with a ballot screen offering them an opportunity to swap out Internet Explorer for one of 11 other browsers. Microrosoft declined to offer comment beyond the one it issued earlier.
