Wonder If Jony Ive's One-of-a-Kind Leica Will Be Laser Cut From a Single Piece of Alu-min-ium?
When Apple CEO Steve Jobs first unveiled the iPhone 4, he compared it to “a beautiful old Leica camera.†It’s fitting, then, that Jony Ive â€" the guy responsible for its design â€" has been tapped by the legendary camera maker to create a limited edition Leica M. Leica Chairman Dr. Andreas Kaufmann said at an event Monday night that the Ive-designed camera will be a one-off and sold at auction for charity.
Apple hasn’t responded to a request for comment.
