Mitt Romney Goes Viral

From the “how not to win at YouTube” files: Mitt Romney’s now-infamous talk to a group of Republican donors is the new “Gangnam Style“, minus the dancing, the K-Pop and the obtuse visual metaphors.

Web video tracker/ad network Visible Measures says excerpts from the chat, and responses to the chat, have generated 2 million views in the last day. As BuzzFeed explains this morning, elements of the speech have floated around the Web for months. But it didn’t break big until it got a push from Mother Jones.

Here’s the money clip from muckracking magazine, which has generated 1.6 million views alone.
